It’s always good to have friends to have great adventures with. You can have days doing spontaneous things and still have loads of fun! Good thing I have friends like these in my life who constantly push me out of my comfort zones, make me live my life of being young and juvenile and act like no one is watching.
Conversation was at 11am and at 3pm, we were suddenly on our way to Nuvali in Laguna. I’ve been really wanting to ride a bike the day before and tadaahhh! Wish came true! Nuvali’s a nice place to bring your family, especially when you have little kiddies. We were there for just an hour and a half so all we did was to bike and eat. There’s a koi pond, a glasshouse of some sort, shopping area, tons of food stores and other activities we didn’t get to maximize. If you’re in for a fun and short road trip with friends, check Nuvali out. Not really a highly recommended place but definitely worth a shot!

I love wearing tank tops when I know the activity involves sweating or just movements. So look at this DIY tank I did paired with a shredded-looking pants! A throwback look to the reggae era!

“Always channel your inner winner!”
Life can be greatly unforgiving in most days. Maybe because we expect a lot from it? Maybe because we thought it would be a lot easier than this? Nobody has it the easy way all the time! What we can do is to always be the best version of ourselves and accept things as they come. Wallowing in the sadness of life will make it even more depressing. Be around people who make you happy, who love you. Bask in the little happiness that come your way. Only then can we appreciate things and turn those unforgiving days to (at least) bearable. Haha. At least, we tried! ;)

I wanted to be a little rebellious with this outfit but not being the on the rocker side of fashion, I did what I could do. No flashy colors, artsy shirt, and denims did the trick! And just like what is common among all rockstars, don’t forget to flash that killer confidence and own what you’re wearing. Yeah, channel your inner winner and rockstar! B-)

WHATSUPPPP!
The title’s inspired by my current LSS, Everybody Talks by the Neon Trees. I’m a sucker for music that seems cinematic (wherein you can imagine a motion picture in your head while the song is playing). But really, how many songs could do that to you? Not much, I think!
On another note, taking outfit pictures in Eastwood could also be quite a task. First, there are people staring at you with WTH faces. Second, the wind’s always too strong. And last, there are so much places to shoot one cannot just choose where to begin! So here I found a neglected footbridge that has really good lighting, no one passing and with this vintage-effect. Should I make this my staple outfit shot location? Let’s see!

Thrifted Leaf-Patterned Button-down Shirt | Topman Drop-Crotch Pants | Sperry Top-Sider Boat Shoes
The Manila afternoon is back to being scorching these past few days so the issue of staying comfortable in the heat while keeping your personal style can be quite tricky. Layering is no option so what I did is to put on a safe light button-down shirt to not feel the heat seep in and paired it with good pants and statement shoes. Three simple articles of clothing gave me the comfort I need without compromising style! Voila!

I miss college!
You see your friends everyday, you hang out at the school cafeteria at the same table everyday, you have this specific routine every MWF and another on TTh. Everything is laid out for college students. You study for tests then you pass or fail. Finish a project then on to the next. Nothing else is expected but to finish all the requirements – in flying colors or with flunking grades.
But today is different. You have the whole world with whatever plan you make from it. Suddenly, you think of what lies ahead, way beyond your comprehension. You think of how to pay rent, what budget to a lot for recreation. When should I eat out? When should I cook noodles for dinner? What age will I be a millionaire? Where did my salary go? It’s a whole new different ball game where our new tests are no longer written on paper.
Yes, growing up sucks. But it’s what you make out of it that’ll either make it really suck or suck a little less.

Every one’s just trying to make it in this world. Every one is hoping to have a name in (insert name here) industry. I believe it’s not for the sake of earning more money in the future (or maybe it indirectly is) but it’s more than that. The want to provide for a future family, the need to find that self-fulfillment and the love for what you’re doing — these are things we all want to accomplish one day. It’s a rough start for everyone and the road is not all marbled pavements.
Whatever our own definition of ‘success’ is, it is never an end goal. It should a continuous state of being and once we’ve had it, we should never let go. And to be successful in what you love doing most, wow! You must be lucky.

Everybody has a dream.
To travel the world, to wallow in lavish clothes, to fall head-over-heals in love, to be a pilot, an actor or a world-renowned pop star – these are things most people aspire to have or be one day. They’re all called dreams for they may come true someday or maybe not at all and still remain dreams in the depths of our hearts.
Each one of us is a dreamer inside but truth be told, when it comes to fulfilling those dreams, not everyone can and not everyone will.
![]()
But the beauty of dreaming is that we can always try. We can aspire to be something out of this world even for just once, or ranging to forever. Dreams help us move forward, to not be stuck at the same place over and over again.
Pities to those who cannot dream at all or at least not even try to. They’re missing out on a bigger world out there. And more pities to those who dream but then trampled on by the non-dreamers. Their fears got the best of them.

They say that if your dreams don’t scare you, then they’re not big enough. I say that when you get scared of your dreams, then YOU are not big enough. They’re not supposed to scare you, but they should inspire you, mold you and push you.
But then dreamers need a reality check once in a while. You have the whole world to dream in but human as we are, we can only do so much. It is not a cue to stop but a moment to think it over and recreate them to be reachable.

“The dreamers need the realists to keep them from soaring too close to the sun. And the realists, without the dreamers, they might not ever get off the ground.” – Modern Family

We dream because there is more to life that what it is. So if you don’t have a dream anymore, lucky you. Your life must be perfect. But then again, is it?

So this is what I call inappropriately dressed! Do not, I repeat. Do not do what I did - wear floral on a rainy day! It was my bad. I looked out my window and thought the weather was summer-like. So there I put on my floral shirt and straw fedora only to go out on a freakin’ storm. I had to wait some time before the rain went away. The Starbucks barista even said, “Summer na summer tayo, sir ah! (You look so summer-y today, sir!)” FML.
Oh well. So much for people staring me down inadvertently judging me for what I was wearing. Ha ha!
Just a warning: Prints like these have the tendency to look baduy or jologs on some so choose your prints wisely and have the confidence to carry the print! Right only then will you feel that people’s stares at you is for the good! *wink wink*
