Red Riding

CHANNELING LITO ATIENZA. Mahal ko ang Maynila.

So this is what I call inappropriately dressed! Do not, I repeat. Do not do what I did - wear floral on a rainy day! It was my bad. I looked out my window and thought the weather was summer-like. So there I put on my floral shirt and straw fedora only to go out on a freakin’ storm. I had to wait some time before the rain went away. The Starbucks barista even said, “Summer na summer tayo, sir ah! (You look so summer-y today, sir!)” FML.

Oh well. So much for people staring me down inadvertently judging me for what I was wearing. Ha ha!

Just a warning: Prints like these have the tendency to look baduy or jologs on some so choose your prints wisely and have the confidence to carry the print! Right only then will you feel that people’s stares at you is for the good! *wink wink*

Little Boy Blue

Bed weather. MOMOL or MOMOX weather. Ramen weather. ETC. There are so many petty names for this Manila weather that we are having. But whatever you guys might call it, we all know how comfy it can get to stay under the sheets! No matter how strong the rain was, it didn’t stop me from finally having a picture with my newly bought transparent umbrella (P80.00, Japan Home). Look how cool it is! Ha ha! Yes, a picture with it in the rain is definitely worth dressing for. :)

I went for the comfiest fabrics in my closet, linen and wool! Together, they are the perfect combo for an outdoor little snuggie. Yikes! So don’t be afraid to go out in the rain. The weather outside can be a rewarding time to clear out your thought even if you just stare at the droplets all day!

Danger

Times have been tough lately. As free-spirited as I am right now, you think a lot about what’s next. It gets scary if you have your life planned all throughout but still, you don’t know where to begin. What do we call it? Yeah, stuck in a rut. It’s just less boring these past few days. I got my friends to thank who give me a chance to finally feel young and fearless and know how it feels like being 20. In the future, I can finally look back at this very stage in my life and say, “I’ve made most of my youth.” Just like what that local channel says, Young and Lovin’ It.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got mature life decisions to make. DND. Ha ha.

Bored Housewife in the 60s

So we did a shoot for fun! The concept was all about this vintage-esque rich woman who has all this money but is bored with her life. So yeah. Here it is. Ha  ha!

Another lazy day at home so I decided to meet up with some awesome friends after their work. God, everyone’s working now! Since the weather’s fickle - sometimes scorching, sometimes freezing -, I wore something worthy of the changing temperature. I am now a fan of button-downs being buttoned all the way up to the very last piece aka the sakal na sakal na ko but not really look. Ha ha! It gives an air sophistication and a sense of being polished in the look. Give it try! Just make sure that you are not torturing yourself with an ill-fitted top, especially with the neckline. I swear, it has real choking tendencies. ha ha.

And if you’ve noticed, the palettes simple - red, blue, green. I love matching these colors for they have a sense of boldness and the colors always pop! They’re not primary colors without a reason! :)

More of the look here…

Back in Black and White

Yes, it’s been a long time since I’ve blogged! But I promise I’m gonna take this more seriously now! I just finished my awesome styling internship and now it’s time for me to do more serious life decisions! But before that, here’s some mandatory coming back pictures first! (ha ha).

We did a fun shoot at a photographer friend’s house so while in-between takes, I begged for pictures! I never knew black and white looks so good! Nagpapaka-vintage deep looking!

The subtle nangungulangot look!

Oh god, pa-demure!
